day 122

today i took cole to the grocery store during lunch time, without having fed him lunch prior.  normally this would mean bad news.  crying, inconsolable little boy.  he likes to eat.  he needs to eat.

today he decided to fend for himself instead of crying. he saw his bag full of treats in my open diaper bag, he went for it, he found what he wanted, and he ate it.  all of it.  but the best part.  he didn't make a peep the whole shopping trip.  the bad part?  it was apple sauce and he managed to drip all over his face, pants and coat.  i didn't care though.  he was quiet and happy!

and yes, i didn't buckle him in and he turned completely around in the cart.  did i mention that he was happy and quiet the whole time?
